With rapidly processing of “Made in China 2025”, industrial robots are widely used in various manufacturing industries. Generally, its basement is fixed to the ground. Therefore, usually the first joint of this multi-joint industrial robot is the basement and the rotation supporting the whole machine, so called the lumbar joint, which we call the slewing bearing mounting. The common slewing bearing structures of modern industrial robots are generally divided into the following two parts:
The first type is called separated structure. It uses cross-roller bearings to bear all the overturning moments and axial forces of the whole machine, including static working conditions and dynamic working conditions. The rotary drive reducer only bears the torque of the center axis rotating. This structure requires high precision for the cross roller bearing and is used to ensure the support accuracy of the robot.
The second type is called integrated structure, and it has a reducer with a main bearing having sufficient carrying capacity. The whole machine is directly seated on the output panel of the hollow reducer of the center axis of rotation through the turntable. The main bearing of the reducer bears all the overturning bending moment and axial force. This structure eliminates the need of crossed roller bearings while provide the rotating torque through reducer.
