Large slewing bearings of standard size are suitable for operating temperatures from -20° to +60°. Use a lubricant that is suitable for the respective operating temperature.
Please provide us with inspection conditions when the operating temperature and / or the temperature difference between the inner and outer rings is higher or lower. At this time, special attention should be paid to the mechanical properties of the ring material. For example, at low temperatures, minimum notch impact processing is required in many cases.
Seals placed directly on the bearing clearance should be protected from direct entry of dust and fine foreign matter and keep fresh lubricant in the bearing clearance. Their function has been tested for decades under normal operating conditions. The function can be maintained by normal re-lubrication of grease rings that are evenly distributed over the circumference. When the pollution is heavy, a corresponding cover plate must be provided on the connection structure.
Since the sealing material will age under different environmental conditions, the gasket must be maintained. Depending on the state judged, the gasket must be replaced as necessary. A check is required every six months.
For use in dusty environments, such as coal and ore transfer equipment, special gaskets are required. If additional labyrinth steel seal rings and gaskets can be placed in the bearing clearance, they have stood the test in open pit mining. The labyrinth steel seal ring protects the gasket from mechanical damage and can be screwed out one by one to clean the lubrication chamber.
Bearings in deck cranes and floating cranes may be exposed to splashing water and surge water. Use a special seal as shown in the image on the upper right. If such a gasket is required, the structural height may increase. For these conditions of use, it is preferred to use internally meshed bearings because the teeth can be protected by the surrounding structure.
There are plastic spacers between the rolling element rolling bodies. Bearings are greased by default in the delivery state, please consult directly for special specifications. It is important to avoid infiltration of aggressive media into the raceway. Aggressive media can alter the lubricating properties, causing corrosion of the raceways and damage to the plastic spacers.

The large slewing ring is wrapped under normal conditions using a film or similar material.
